Meet the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

We warmly welcome you to the St Maria Goretti Catholic Academy website, which is part of the All Saints Catholic Collegiate.

As a Catholic school and part of Birmingham Diocese our fundamental mission is to promote positive values and virtues within our school community in which every person is respected as an individual, made in the image of Christ.

We as a Catholic learning community, strive to ‘Achieve Together in Love and Faith’ where Christ is at the centre of our mission.  We pride ourselves on the ‘family’ atmosphere and culture of our school. This culture is firmly embedded, enabling children of all faiths, abilities and personalities to thrive and succeed.

By setting high expectations for our pupils both academically and through promoting their talents, we provide a curriculum where pupils achieve well. In comparison with their national peers our pupils achieve at least in line and in some cases above. This is testament to the quality of our curriculum where pupils lead their own learning supported by high quality teaching staff and in strong partnership with their families.

Our expectations for good behaviour are fundamental if our children are to develop positive long-term relationships and remain happy, safe and confident to work independently and alongside others, both in school and for future life in modern Britain and as global citizens.

We are extremely proud of the contributions our pupils make in the daily life of the school. From an early age our pupils are encouraged to lead their own learning and thinking, as well as presenting their own opinion, participating in debates and preparing for their future in the world of work. Through providing an extensive range of extracurricular activities further enhances our provision for all learners.

We recognise that choosing the learning community and school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. Our website is designed to inform you about our values, mission, curriculum, standards and the opportunities available to pupils who attend St Maria Goretti Catholic Academy.

In the words of a visiting colleague St Maria Goretti is a ‘little piece of heaven’ and I strongly recommend you contact our school office should you wish to consider a place in our school.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Z. Cooper
