Year 5

Welcome to Year 5!

For the Autumn term, we will be travelling 'Across the Atlantic' to refine our Geography skills! Children can complete a weekly piece of work in their Learning logs ready for the Celebration Assembly every Friday, the more creative the better!

Homework is due in on a Monday. ALL pieces must be completed for the children to earn their rewards.

Homework will include: literacy, maths and spellings. New homework is given out on a Tuesday. If there is any issue with homework, please speak to the class teachers before homework is due in.

Children have a spelling test of 10 words every Friday, please practise with your child at home.

Children should be reading at home at least 3 x a week and getting their diaries signed by an adult. Please ask comprehension questions to ensure your child is understanding what they are reading.

P.E is Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon, children should have P.E kits in school or they will not be able to participate. Please make sure children are dressed for the sessions in the correct uniform. If you are unsure, please consult the Uniform policy. Earrings need to be removed by the child before the P.E session or removed before school if they are unable to do it themselves.
